What clues are there that the visitors were not trustworthy?

One night, one member of the group revealed that she had been fitted with an ankle monitor and urged Miig and Isaac to run while they could, but it was already too late. The clues were there before by how these characters talked as well as the ankle monitor giving their position away. The Recruiters arrived and Isaac was captured. Miig says he should have killed Isaac and himself at that moment.
