Known as Miig, he is the leader of French's group. Miig is a strong man and a strong leader. He is consciously teaching the younger members of the group to become leaders in their own right. When French wants to rescue Minerva, Miig allows him to make a plan and pledges his support to carry it out. Though Miig seems both physically and emotionally strong, he is clearly struggling with the loss of his partner, Isaac. He carries a vial that he believes to be Isaac's remains.

Miig is an important character because he serves the role as surrogate father and teacher to French and the other members of the group. French is with the group for several years before they reunite with Jean, French's biological father, but the bond between French and Miig is strong by then and French still spends a lot of time with Miig's group. Miig has obviously tried to ensure that French and the other members of the group are able to think on their own. He allows RiRi to hear part of their historical Story even though he fears she is not mature enough to handle the details. When French says they have to try to rescue Minerva, Miig allows him to make the decisions for the group, which shows that he has confidence in the young people he is leading.
