Theme

It's been awhile since I read this novel, but the main theme of the text is the bias that exists in regard to foster children, leading people to presume or attach specific traits to children who are abandoned by, removed from, or have fled their natural families. This is a very broad topic, which would allow you to focus on one or all of the individual biases that can be found in relation to these children.
