What do you think of Joaquin Murieta? Do you think he's a good guy or the bad guy?

The anti-hero of the story, Joaquin Murieta is a character who faces only disappointment from his fellow men whom he admired which turns him into the most infamous and vicious of Californian bandits. Despite his reputation, he still follows some elements of morality, respecting women and protecting them and sparing those who show him kindness. I find anti-hero's interesting.
