why does Haymitch say that Peta has helped Katniss

Why? Because Lennora he's being nice. he's a good coach and his only quality is to keep the kids alive. he doesn't need to see them die because of his drunkness. Peeta? Really? Peeta has feelings for Katniss and his only quality is to keep him and Katniss ALIVE. Haymitch really is a guy who cares about Katniss and Peeta. Besides, who wouldn't like to keep them alive? What if he's some guy who hates kids and thinks that this is funny? Is this a joke? No, it's not a joke because Haymitch is a great man. Haymitch says that Peeta has helped Katniss because Peeta really cares about keeping BOTH of them alive.

That's what I like about Peeta. He's a caring kid.
