There was alot of conflict about how to handle the outbreak in monkey house. Explain some of the factors that made the decisions about how to deal with the situation so heated?

The main factor causing heated discussion among those responsible for containing the virus is the threat of contamination outside the monkey house..... soemthing that would lead to widespread, human contamination. The virus had to be contained, and those charged with cleaning things up were responsible...... no one wanted to make a mistake..... to do it wrong.
