Unlike Aravis, Lasaraleen is willing to do what her parents ask of her. She has no desire to be an individual thinker, and is happy to be told what to do, as long as her needs and wants (she's very spoiled) are taken care of. Aravis, however, wants to assert her independence and and be free to do what makes her happy.
