Smaug is a dragon that has terrorized several towns and, within his mountain, he guards a massive horde of treasure. Smaug is intelligent and. like most dragons, has a penchant for riddles. Smaug feels he is an omnipotent force and that all the treasure belongs to him. Although he has never seen a Hobbit, he knows the smell is different.
