Who are the most important people in, The Hate U Give, and what are words that would describe them?

Starr Carter is the main character and protagonist. She can be described as cautious and courageous. Cautious in regard to her action in the way that others perceive her, and courageous because of the way she learns how to actively and logically speak out against racial injustice.

In my opinion, Starr's Uncle Carlos, is also an important figure. As a police officer it is his job to do the best he can in protecting those he's hired to care for..... as a man, he had to have the courage to admit and process the wrongdoing of another police officer and stand his moral ground. Uncle Carlos is caring and honest.
