what is jonas opinion about the community changed?

Jonas' world changes when he begins to take on memories; colors begin to reappear, he realizes that people once had the opportunity to make choices, and that people and animals (yes, there used to be animals) mourned and loved each other (he tries to share the vision of an elephant with his sister, and that people once experienced pain.......... emotional as well as physical.
