does this community seem possible?

This is a futuristic dystopia where conformity is everything and secrets are hidden. Although there is not a community exactly like this, there are places that borrow from these concepts. Some of these ideas, to varying extents, exist in your own community. I am sure we are not privy to everything our governments do. We are certainly watched on cameras and our Internet use is monitored. Have you ever searched for something and then found that it’s being advertised on your browser? Communism or dictatorships (like North Korea) demand high levels of conformity and keep many secrets from the general population. This sort of a future is highly possible given the right circumstances.
