Eddie's father was abusive to Eddie, both physically and emotionally. He seldom said anything positive to Eddie. He would often come home and beat Eddie. Eddie carried the emotional wounds from this for his entre life. Eddie's anger would eat into his own life and his own soul. His father's memory would cause havoc in his own relationships.
