Education of little tree

Granma has spent a week making boot moccasins from deer leather. Little Tree wears the moccasins when he joins Granpa for an early morning walk on a high trail. On the steep climb, Little Tree feels the spirit of Mon-o-lah, the earth mother, through his moccasins. Little Tree learns about the rhythms of nature and how to live through nature.
