Were you surprised by Tom walkers actions in this story

This question calls for your opinion. There is no right or wrong answer. In my opinion, Tom needed to consider his decision to accept Old Scratch's offer a bit longer..... anyone who would sign their life away, especially to the Devil, isn't thinking about the eventual ramifications.
