How does the author present the relationship between Christopher and His father?

Christopher and his father seem to have a comfortable relationship. Mr. Boone is at ease with his son's autism and knows how to handle Christopher's habits and the way his mind works. We do find out, however, that Ed Boone hasn't been completely honest with his son, something that will create a huge chasm between them. For Christopher, the truth is very important...... he understands the literal..... he doesn't understand untruths, and they cannot be explained.
