chapter 7
Siobhan is Christopher's friend of eight years and a member of the staff at his school, where he studies with other children with learning difficulties. To help Christopher understand human emotion, she draws faces for him so that he can identify that a smile means happy, a frown means angry and so on. It is Siobhan who sets the assignment that propels Christopher to write his novel, and she gives him writing tips throughout. She is very patient with Christopher and encourages his writing.
Siobhan. She is 27 years old and has been Christophers friend and teacher for 7 years. She is a very loving and nurturing charater that tries her best to understand Christopher. Even if she doesn't always know how to react to him, Siobhan enjoyes speniding time with him and guiding him through his education. She works at a school for children with learining difficulties so she always treats him right. Sh knows Christopher finds it hard to understand emotions, so to help him, she draws faces. This helps him identify thing such as a smile means the person is happy but a frown means they are sad. I imagine Christopher loves Siobhan (as a friend) even if he doesn't understand what he is feeling. She is the one who suggests the idea of writing a book about what happened to Christopher and, in the play, is the narrator of it (by reading Christopher's book). I don't know if this completely answered your question, but I hope it helped a little :)
