who is arrested for having poppets and bewitching abigail

Goody Proctor is arrested for having poppets after Mary Warren, her servant, makes a poppet in the courtroom and sticks a needle in it for safekeeping. This was a common practice in the time period because needles were valuable. John Proctor tells the arresting officer that his wife has not ever kept poppets, but when the poppet is found, his statement seems doubtful. The needle then is used to say that she "bewitched" Abby by poking it into the poppet and thus poking Abby in the stomach.
