How do interpret Mary's visions and accusations? What clues does Miller give us about her motivation?

Mary is a timid girl. She easily gets caught up in the Abigail induced hysteria and theatrics in the court. Her motivations are fear and a need for security. Although she has been pretending to faint for weeks, she cannot do it when instructed.
