What kind of support did Jack give to James? Chapter 14

James was sent to Jack's house in Louisville, Kentucky, for the summer. James ends up spending three consecutive summers in Louisville. Jack's husband Big Richard takes James under his wing and introduces him to hard working men who hung out at the street corner at night. James receives his "street" education.
