Im Chapter Six, we learn that Ruth likes old-fashioned preachers...... preachers like her former husband, Andrew McBride. Old fashioned preachers talk about God, preach from the Bible, and have a genuine, personal interest in their communities. Ruth does not embrace ministers or churches that preach negativity or focus on politics.
