The Catcher in the Rye
Help? :)
How does Holden and Stradlater's fight typify that they come from two different worlds and each have their own way of thinking?
How does Holden and Stradlater's fight typify that they come from two different worlds and each have their own way of thinking?
Stradlater has talked Holden into writing a term paper for him; he can't do it himself because he's got a date with Holden's good friend Jane. Holden of course writes the paper, but when Stradlater returns from the date he goads Holden with all kinds of insinuations about his evening with Judy. Holden starts a fight because he's sick of everyone making Stradlater out to be such a good guy. He gets his butt beat, but he also gets a lot of satisfaction! ;-)
