Holden considers Ackley a complete pain in the behind. He is a classmate that barges into Holden's room without knocking. Holden finds him disgusting with poor hygiene. He prevents Holden from walking around and doing the thing Holden does. He aggravates Holden by cutting his fingernails and leaving them on the floor. He asks Holden annoying endless questions.
