Why does Mr. Spencer mean when he says that Holden will feel some concern for his future, that he "will when it's tool late"?
Why does Mr. Spencer mean when he says that Holden will feel some concern for his future, that he "will when it's tool late"?
Mr. Spencer is referring to the fact that Holden is aware of his mistakes and has no regrets. His comment, however, pertains to the future..... the time when Holden will likely wish to take back some of his foolish actions. Unfortunately, his record will speak for itself, and it will be too late to change anything.
