The Canterbury Tales
I need an arguable thesis regarding Chaucer and marriage...any suggestions?
that's pretty self-explanatory...

If you use the information in the tale by the Wife of Bath, you can argue something like this: Through the story the Wife of Bath tells, Chaucer suggests that he believes that women in their marriages want to be in charge of their husbands and do not wish to be subservient.
Unfortunately the fact that people had a private life and a public life is prevalent in Chaucer's work, which I've been studying all semester. it's not very arguable in this case.
