Do you think the story will make the pilgrims buy indulgences? Why or why not?

He's a successful preacher, and he makes people think. His depiction of sin is right on, and he knows htis from experience. I believe that some of the pilgrims might buy into the indulgences, but I also think the Host's reaction may have prevented a few from doing the same.
