All about the play "the pot of gold" and the writer Plautus.

The play, The Pot of Gold, is centered around the main character, Euclio's, discovery of a treasure.... a pot of gold. Euclio is a poor man, and we expect that the treasure will be life changing... and it is, but not in the way we expect. Yes, he becomes rich... materially. He can have anything he desires, and yet, the treasure changes him. Rather than be thrilled to be rich, he Euclio becomes filled with greed... obsessed by riches.
