In Chapters 15-19, we get a more indepth look at Kotler. First, we see the relationship between Kotler and Bruno's mother intensify. It's becoming more personal, and even more public. Kotler also feels it's within his authority to admonish the servants (prisoners) in Bruno's family's home. While his treatment of the Jews would have been deemed acceptable, overstepping his bounds in another man's home would not. Lastly, Kotler is transferred..... Bruno's mother and father had a loud argument, and "poof"..... Kotler was sent away. It seems as as if Bruno's father didn't appreciate him overstepping his bounds either.
