Bruno , Gretel and parents

 Bruno has a stormy relationship with Gretel. They often clash over family issues. Gretel is sympathetic to the Nazi cause and has a crush on Lieutenant Kotler. Bruno is much more sensitive and empathetic to people and despises Lieutenant Kotler. Brono's mother is not that nurturing. I'm sure he loves her but they often feel distant. Father gives Bruno more attention than he does to Gretel but their relationship is rather formal.
