What do you think of the letter the mayor's wife leaves for Liesel inside the dictionary and thesaurus? Does it change your opinion of Ilsa Hermann?

The letter is pretty kind. Ilsa Hermann apologizing for firing Rosa and tells Liesel that Liesel can "steal" her books but only only one at a time: she won't stop her. Frau Hermann also tells her that she wants Liesel will start coming to the front door again. I think Frau Hermann is happy to have a girl like Liesel in her life. She wants to encourage and help Liesel.
