Franz had any respect for Rudy ? (Say nothing of Rudys hate for Nazis) we can saw that he (Rudy) was athletic, strong ,brave,a little agressive and had' good look' what makes him ideal Aryan .Beacause of that Franz hate for him was unreasonable...People like that Hitler Youth leader valued those kind of people.

Perhaps Franz was jealous that Rudy was a better athlete than him but this is not explored in the text.
