Confucius said, “There is happiness in eating coarse food, drinking cold water and sleeping on the floor. Ill-gotten wealth and rank are just like fleeting clouds to me.” means?

Confucius is alluding to the fact that luxuries are fleeting and unnecessary to individual happiness. Happiness can be found in the fulfillment of basic needs.
