"Chapter 14 continues to define Huck and Jim's roles. Although Huck is evolving as a person, Jim consistently shows himself to be a reliable and mature partner to Huck. The Chapter further defines Jim as a person of wisdom. He knows his Bible better than Huck and is able to attribute its parables to their own situations."
