How is Huck Fiin selfless?

Hick has his own mind about things. He is friends with Jim, a runaway slave, and really quite loyal to him. Huck dislikes swindlers like the King and Duke, he actually tries to foil their plan to steal money from the grieving family. In the end Huck is really concerned about Jim's welfare and works hard to rescue him.
