How does their frightening separation in the fog draw them closer together? How do they feel about each other at this point in the novel?

Jim and Huck's reunion after the fog is joyful..... Huck's little game frightened Jim, and although he was hurt by Huck's practical joke.... the entire episode proved his loyalty and willingness to sacrifice for Huck.
