how did jim and huck meet the king and duke

Huck decides to paddle out to shore in the canoe to look for berries. It is a beautiful morning and the prose is quite lovely. Just then two ratty old men come tearing through the brush. They are running from the authorities. Huck is a softy for criminals and invites them to come along on the raft. Thus we are introduced to the colourful Duke and Dauphin.
