Explain how this chapter is the resolution of the Wilks framework story?

Huck makes up a story to explain his running away so the duke and king won’t think he was trying to betray them. THe Duke and King blame each other and fight. Eventually the two drunken sods fall asleep on the raft which closes the chapter and the whole town incident.
