Chapters 21-23

Boggs is killed by Colonel Sherburn. The crowd decides that Sherburn should be lynched and goes after him. Sherburn responds to the mob by walking right out in front of them holding a shotgun, where he proceeds to lecture them. When he was he's done, he cocked his gun, and the crwod quickly dispersed.

The crowd washed back sudden, and then broke all apart, and went tearing off every which way, and Buck Harkness he heeled it after them, looking tolerable cheap.
