Why does Junior throw the textbook at Mr. P?

Junior sees that his textbook is so old that it has his mom's name on it. Junior is frustrated that he and other Indians will always get a second-class education because of poverty. In frustration, he throws the book towards Mr. P but ends up hitting him in the face.
