When Ted the billionaire shows up to the wake held for Junior's grandmother, what theme is shown?

One possible theme is that the Indians have been taken advantage of at every level by the white men. This man is a billionaire, and he has no need for the funds that would come from selling something that could be a tribal memento. The money that could come from the powwow dance outfit could provide many opportunities for the Indians and could support much of what Junior hopes to accomplish in his life. Yet, the billionaire has only been interested in his own fortune and is thus, very selfish, almost abusive.
