After Mrs. Jones took Roger home with her, she gave him dinner. She asked him if he was hungry, and answered herself saying that he must be, since he tried to snatch her purse. But he instead, quite surprisingly, Roger replied that he wanted money not for food, but rather to buy some blue suede shoes. To this, she surprised him by saying that he could have asked her for the money. She told him, “I were young once and I wanted things I could not get... I have done things, too, which I would not tell you, son."
