What was your fist impression of Paul Fisher and final?

Initially, I like Paul. He's a great kid. It's not easy being the younger son, who stands in the shadows behind the all-star. He handles himself very well, and over the course of the novel, he not only learns how to deal with his situation, but to take control as well.
