What happens during Thanksgiving?

Thanksgiving Day is pretty much a disaster. Melinda's mother insists on cooking a turkey, even though she plans to leave to get her store ready for pre-Christmas shopping the next day. She forgets to defrost the turkey, tries to cook the turkey without defrosting it, and finally leaves to go to the store in answer to an emergency call. In the end, Melinda and her dad order pizza.
