Compare between Marlow and Hasting?

Marlow is a shy young man, who has a hard time communicating with ladies. He's a gentleman and considered to be honorable, but when put to the task of proposing to a young woman of quality..... he becomes tongue tied and unable to speak. Note..... he has no trouble speaking to those he believes are not up to his own standards.

Hasting, on the other hand, is a confidant and well-spoken young man, no matter who he speaks with. He could charm just about any woman of any class....... he might want to give marlow some lessons.
