What is the connection between T.J. failing Mrs. Logans exams and Mrs Logan losing her job

I don't believe there is a connection between the two. Mama's being fired was a direct result of the boycott she organized. The men went into her classroon looking for a reason to fire her, and they based upon the subject she was teaching in history.... not TJ's attempt to cheat on her test.

There is a connetion between them which is he does both of them ,Because he cheated and he got Miz Logan FIRED from her job.
