The black children are quite used to this. The yellow school bus holds white kids being bused to a white school. A few of the boys curse the bus as it speeds past then blowing dirt and dust on their only nice clothes. The kids, however, seem resigned to the fact that they must walk long distances to a school that is made up of dilapidated shacks and buildings.
