Compare the friendship that Stacey has with TJ to the friendship that Stacey has with Jeremy Simms. To whom does he show more loyalty? Why?

Stacey is comfortable with TJ because he is black. Friendship, however, isn't how I would describe it. TJ does not act like a friend.

Stacey's relationship with Jeremy is also uncomfortable because Stacey is black, and Jeremy is white. Jeremy's offer of friendship, however, is genuine. Mr. Logan is somewhat disapproving based upon the race issue.
