Seeing that Crusoe's rebellion leads him to ignore his father's advice, we can infer that his lessons became most important in hindsight.... I should have listened to my father. On the other hand, Crusoe's father had a limited perception in terms of dreams.... he urged his son to accept his lot in life and be content.
