This question requires words that you came across while reading the novel.... vocabulary that was new to you. Vocabulary I've used with my students has included words like expedient, deride, revere, dexterous, and superfluous. There are also many others, as Dafoe's novel is filled with beautiful language most students today are not accustomed to.
