I don't think Karim is to blame regarding his outbursts. His bizarre behaviour in his Montreal high school—self-imposed isolation interspersed with incomprehensible (over)reactions—is rooted deep within the horrific escape experiences he is still reliving. From that perspective we really have to give the guy some slack; he has been through a Hell that most of us could not begin to comprehend.
