What is the plot of the story?

The plot is that Rip Van Winkle, a rather lazy and idle man, tries to get away from his nagging wife. He hikes up into the mountains (helping a man carry a heavy load) and he finds a group of people playing ninepins, a kind of bowling. He drinks their liquor, falls asleep, and wakes up 20 years later. He returns to his town, finds how much things have changed, moves in with his now grown daughter, and continues to live much the life he had before the story began.
